THANKS : To the Good Lord for giving us super nice weather. The 4H parents & Gary Kathman for handling the Hayride, touring the City of Cheviot. The Girl Scouts, with their leader Lisa Super, and friends for entertaining the Kids with their games of skill and luck .
THANKS: To the Boy Scouts, led by Mark Wanek, for taking the Kids on a Train Ride into the scary darkness of Harvest Home Park. To Matthew Williams , and his helpers from the Cheviot Library, using their talents with Crafts, helping the Kids make Pumpkin Faces, and Scary Animals. A special THANK YOU !! to KEVIN LEIDECKER [ N.Y.P.D.] for Donating the Pizza. If it’s Pizza you need see KEVIN at N.Y.P.D. To Jamie Harris for doing a great job with the Kids who entered the Costume and Howling at the moon contests. Congratulations to the winners. To the many C.F.A. & C.P.A. members, their families and friends who served food, sold tickets, kept the kids safe in the Straw Maze and cleaned up the mess . It sure is nice to have all that help. A big tip of the hat to CFA Member Dan Woodburn & his helpers for showing cartoon movies to the kids while they waited in long lines to board the Hayride. To the Cheviot Police & Fire Departments & Charlie for their support. The CITY of CHEVIOT & the Cheviot Community for their continued support of this kind of Community Event. KIDS CHRISTMAS FAIR, SUNDAY DEC. 11th CHEVIOT FIELDHOUSE, 12:30 PM. to 3:30 PM.
Ages 1-12yrs. The Cincinnati Kinderballet will present: “The Nutcracker” at 12:30 pm.
The Kids Christmas Fair will also feature: Model Train Display, Face Painting, Games, Crafts and Prizes, Drinks and Snacks Ho, Ho, Ho Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Stan Rauh has had extensive back surgery and is in Sarasota Florida. Dolores M. Dolan loving mother of Mary (Late Leo) Fichter passed away 10.8.16. Please keep our sick and departed in your prayers.

Ruth Kathman reported that no cards were sent this month. The winner of the $ 5.00 Birthday Prize was Irene Ruberg. Kate Reed asked for everyone to pray for her great granddaughter, Ireland Reed, who is having major surgery so she may someday be able to walk for the first time in her young life. Please pray for this little girl that this operation is successful. Please pray for all our members who are sick in Hospitals, their homes or nursing facilities. Thank You!!

2016 CFA GOLF LEAGUE
The CFA Golf League ended its regular season with their Tournament Night – Wednesday, September 7, 2016. The 2016 League Champions consisted of
First place: Arnie Williams and Steve Thomas. The Second Place team consisted of Scott Tarvin and Dennis Fliehman. Congrats to all for a great year and special thanks to the league officers and especially Bill Strochinsky (once again) for the colossal task of consistently calculating all the figures and stats throughout the year. Also – Thanks, Arnie Williams – He also does a helluva job organizing our monthly Thursday Outings.
We had our Golf League Dinner at Keller’s. Also – Special thanks to Sam & Connie Keller and their crew for consistently putting together another great spread of food. Hope to see you next year at the March – 2017 kick-off meeting!

2016 CFA GOLF SCRAMBLE – A Great Time
The CFA Golf Outing was a success and I hope everyone had a great time. The temperature was great, the rain held off until the very end but the wind was a definite factor. The winning team was Milt’s Transmission finishing 13 under par. Each golfer received a door prize and the lucky ones received some nice gifts after dinner.
